Carlos Teixidó Art Gallery
The emblematic Barcelona gallery Carlos Teixidó, specialized in Avant-Gardes of “the Paris School”, “between Wars” and “Contemporary Art”, opens an exhibition for the first time in Andorra and settles in The Embassy with a sample of works by big names in art history that start from the first avant-garde and bring us to our days.
Authors such as Miró, Dalí, Toulouse-Lautrec, among others, coexist in the space with Barceló, Plensa and Lita Cabellut, with the help of Carlos Teixidó, third generation of gallery owners, current president of the Antique Dealers of Passeig de Gràcia and member of the board of the Ifema Art Fair, Madrid.
Teixidó’s philosophy combines the aspects that determine the continuity and heritage of the important gallery established in Barcelona specialized in painting and sculpture.
It gives prominence to the first avant-garde that lead to the birth of contemporary art to reach our days, going through all the currents that have marked the history of art, cubism, abstraction, surrealism, pop art, with artists like Tapies, Andy Warhol and Celso Lagar.
"I always try to combine art, investment and beauty", these words would summarize the vision of Carlos Teixidó.
