A Tribute from OMEGA to Emirates Team New Zealand
In anticipation of the upcoming America’s Cup to be held in Barcelona in 2024, OMEGA has crafted a timepiece in honor of the current champion, Emirates Team New Zealand. The Seamaster Planet Ocean Deep Black ETNZ Edition was unveiled during a special OMEGA event at the Vilanova Preliminary Regatta.
Auckland is gearing up to defend its title in the world’s oldest regatta, and OMEGA drew inspiration from the sails of the ETNZ logo to create a unique collector’s item dedicated to the America’s Cup.

The 45.5mm Seamaster Planet Ocean blends the deepest black with the distinctive turquoise of the Emirates Team New Zealand logo.
The black ceramic case is complemented by a brushed black ceramic unidirectional bezel with white enamel dive scale and a framed dot at 12 o’clock, featuring white Super-LumiNova to emit a green glow in the dark.
The matte ceramic dial includes a countdown indicator at 3 o’clock, with a starting flag paying homage to the pre-race protocol. The indicator hand and sub-dial ring are turquoise, matching the Emirates Team New Zealand logo, along with the minute scale, the number 12, and the seconds hand with the America’s Cup trophy counterweight.
OMEGA has also incorporated turquoise into the brushed black ceramic pushers’ rings, the “He” symbol on the helium escape valve, and the OMEGA logo on the crown.
In homage to the Kiwi crew, the NAIAD LOCK case back features the Emirates Team New Zealand logo with turquoise fern and white lettering. The watch is powered by the OMEGA Master Chronometer caliber 9900.
OMEGA presents the watch with a structured black and turquoise rubber strap, featuring turquoise stitching and a black ceramic clasp, and offers three style-changing options: an additional rubber strap and two NATO straps, all in complementary colors.
To keep the watch secure and dry on land, a special presentation case inspired by the Emirates Team New Zealand logo is included.
In addition to crafting magnificent tribute watches, OMEGA, a sponsor of Emirates Team New Zealand since 1995, will provide precision timing. This marks the fourth time OMEGA serves as the Official Timekeeper in the 37th edition of the prestigious America’s Cup, having previously timed the races in 2000, 2003, and 2021. OMEGA takes pride in supporting the world’s best sailors as they vie for glory on the water.
