In 2005, Omega launched the Planet Ocean line, within the Seamaster collection, a tribute to immersion watches.

This model, with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, sports a blue ceramic dial with Arabic numerals and a date at 6 o'clock. The dial features a small second hand and counters of 60 minutes and 12 hours. The blue ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel, with immersion scale in OMEGA Liquidmetal, is mounted in a 45.5 mm case and stainless steel.

OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer Chronograph is watertight up to 600 m and has a helium escape valve. It incorporates the OMEGA Master Chronometer 9900 caliber, visible through the transparent bottom. To achieve the Master Chronometer category, it has passed the 8 rigorous tests established by the METAS (Swiss).
